Government of Canada announces investment in SASC Ottawa
The Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Member of Parliament for Ottawa Centre, on behalf of the Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister of International Development and Minister for Women and Gender Equality, announced that the Government of Canada will invest up to $7.4 million in 14 women’s organizations and Indigenous organizations serving women in Ottawa.
This funding will enable women’s organizations and Indigenous organizations serving women to tackle systemic barriers impeding women’s progress, while recognizing and addressing the diverse experiences of gender and inequality across the country.
SASC Ottawa was one of 14 organizations to receive funding, and we are excited to develop new ways to support survivors in our community over the next 5 years.
